Elbphilharmonie Hamburg
At the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg were used on the 6,000 m² roof area
approx. 4,000 PINs of the type PIN-A-DF-T. First a trapezoidal sheet was applied to the steel skeleton, after which the thermally fully separated PINs were attached. The insulation was then applied and the roof was sealed with roofing membrane. The PINs served as a support for the substructure of the visible plane ("sequins") and with a ringnut also served as an anchor point.
